Civil war dress
I've been meaning to post this for a while. I made this for the always fabulous Donna Wing (http://www.donnawing.com/) for VTBC's Cold Blooded at Cold spring. She play nancy Clem, the first women to be tried for murder in the state of Indiana.
The cuffs and collar are dettachable to give the dress a plainer option should the the character call for it. I made the reticule with the left over fabric. I love giving actors a place to carry small items or props without interfereing with the costume.

Gencon 2009
I only did a full costume on the day of the contest. The theme of the dance was masquerade and since I was already making the fancy dress and masks I thought I'd join in the costume contest fun. I was a Gazzelle and my husband escorted me as a Lion. The dress took some elements from elizeabethen fashion The over dress is completely lined in red. My husband obviously went Victorian. the frock coat is borrowed but I made the red ascot. The masks themselves were made molded with plaster then painted with acrylics. They were amazingly comfortable to wear.
Here I am before the contest.
Someone was awesome enough to upload the entire contest onto youtube. Here's the part we were in (about 1:45):
This is us at the dance that night. I was asked to hold a bunny, I didn't ask queastions.

Pics of faeries past
Been meaning to post these for sometime. These were a commission I did for a themed birthday party. They all got to choose what kind of wings they wanted and what colors
She wanted to be a dragon fly
This little guy wanted something a bit more masculine...so I made him dragon wings. Doesn't he look fierce?
They all look so at home in the garden.
They later used these wings for professional pictures taken by Ohbaby photography
